While John Wesley preached tens of thousands of sermons over the course of his life, the absence of recording technology deprives us of knowing much about those "live" sermons, which frequently produced dramatic responses in his hearers. We do have nearly 150 sermons that he wrote and published, which provide us with a good concept of his doctrinal emphasis and expository style.
